About

My fascination with technology started early. From mopeds to motorcycles—if it had wheels and an engine, I wanted to ride it. That love for speed and mechanics was passed down from my father, just like my passion for model trains. We spent hours working on our Märklin layout together, and it’s still something I enjoy to this day.

When the internet still made beeping and buzzing sounds, I was already hooked. Through learning Basic at school, a 8086 as my fisrt computer, Bulletin Board System (BBS) on Remota Access and with FrontDoor on Girotel modem, I discovered the digital world. Not long after, I started building websites—a hobby that has grown into something more serious. These days, I mostly work with TYPO3 and handle my own hosting—I like to keep things in my own hands.

Besides tech and the web, I’m into anything that moves. Formula 1, motorsports, kite flying at the beach… if there’s action, I’m there. I also enjoy documenting our vacations—just to look back later and relive the memories. And because I like to keep track of things, I record everything my kids and I have ridden over the years: from bicycles to motorcycles, it’s all part of the story.
